Agreement
By using the Upshift CLI, VS Code extension, GitHub App, upshiftai.dev, or hosted services (including api.upshiftai.dev), you agree to these terms. If you use only the open-source CLI under the MIT License, the license in the repository applies to that code; these terms cover use of our services and brand.
Service description
Upshift provides dependency scanning, explanations, optional AI-assisted analysis and fixes, upgrades with test/rollback workflows, and related dashboard features. Features vary by tier. AI output is assistive—you are responsible for reviewing changes, running tests, and meeting your own security and compliance obligations.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service (e.g. attempt to break security, overload infrastructure, or use the product to violate others’ rights). You must comply with third-party terms (npm registry, GitHub, OpenAI or your LLM provider, etc.).
Fees & billing
Paid plans and credits are billed through our payment provider (e.g. Stripe). Prices and entitlements are shown at checkout and in Pricing. Refunds follow the policy displayed at purchase or as required by law; contact support through the dashboard for billing issues.
Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free AI output.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Upshift and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or fifty dollars if you have not paid).
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notice in the product or via email.
